Obligatory "New Year yay!" post (020115)

Posted by BazookaBonsai - January 2nd, 2015

Hello fellas

Happy new year. I hope you had a great celebration as we now go into another exciting year of stuff that happens.

Resolutions LOL!

Like every year, people set goals for themselves to reach. Loose weight, more success in ones job, finaly move out of ones parents house etc. The list is as long and as diverse as humanity itself.

It is a common thing to do and also very relatable. The new year is commonly seen as a new start. New year, new chance. However, it is also very commonly observed how many people drop their resolutions only after a couple of months.

I was there last year. Check it yourself: http://bazookabonsai.newgrounds.com/news/post/880799

The series never saw the light of day, neither did the game.

Like last year, I have ideas, plans and dreams. The problem is: If I don't do something for them, they will never be real. This thing is, as I believe, a change in attitude.

To quote my longpost from the CC14-retrospective:

"When I can do it and want to do it, there is no excuse for not doing it to the best of my abilities."

This is the mindset I am going to carry into 2015 and live by. Just having dreams does not suffice. If I dream it and want it to be real, I have to make it happen and the moment I work towards it, it should be done with absolute dilligence.

Can this be counted as a resolution?

Project news

In the time of celebration, I worked mainly behind the scenes on a series of private projects.

A new Illustration is already in the making. There isn't much I can show yet, but you can visit this weeks livestream at Sunday 8PM CET to see me working on it.

On the subject of illustrations: You may remember these:

I would be a liar if I said that I didn't fall in love with dark fantasy and obscure imagery. Pictures of this nature will likely be a more common thing from now on.

Change of pace

Only a quick note at the end: From now on, the weekly updates will be written on every Friday.

Also, if there are things you would want to be included in an update, like a particular artist, musician or some other subjects, let me know.

Best of luck for 2015

BB
